Peanut Butter | Butter Cookies
 
 
Peanut Butter Broiled Topping

¼ cup soft butter or margarine
1/3 cup brown sugar (packed)
3 Tablespoons milk
¼ cup peanut butter
1 cup peanuts finely chopped

Mix thoroughly butter, sugar, milk and peanut butter; stir in peanuts. Spread mixture evenly on warm 13X9-inch cake. Place cake 5 inches from heat; broil about 3 minutes or until topping bubbles and browns slightly. (Watch carefully-mixture burns easily.)

Peanut Butter Chewy-O’s

Peanut butter confections made with your favorite flavor pudding mix.
1 package (about 4 ounces) chocolate, butterscotch or vanilla pudding and pie filling (cooked type)
½ cup light corn syrup
1/3 cup peanut butter
3 cups O-shaped puffed oat cereal
Apply butter to a square pan, 9X9X2 inches. Blend pudding mix (dry) and corn syrup in large saucepan. Heat the mixture to boiling over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minute. Remove from heat; blend in peanut butter. Add cereal; stir until thoroughly coated.
Turn into pan; spread mixture evenly with buttered back of spoon. Cool about 30 minutes or until firm. Cut into 1 1/4 –inch pieces.


Peanut Butter Creams

Here’s a candy that’s not cooked! It’s great for the children to make.
1 egg
2 cups confectioners’ sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon vanilla
1/3 cup peanut butter
1 Tablespoon butter or margarine, softened
¾ cup finely chopped salted peanuts
Beat egg slightly in small mixer bowl. Beat in 1 cup of the sugar, the salt vanilla, peanut butter and butter. Stir in remaining sugar. If necessary, add more confectioners’ sugar to make firm enough to handle.
Shape mixture into 1-inch balls; roll balls in peanuts. Refrigerate.
